Irish Fiction Fridays: Charlotte Riddell: The Nun’s Curse

Welcome to another edition of Irish Fiction Fridays! With the fall weather almost upon us, I thought a nice supernatural thriller would be just the thing to curl up with beside the fire. This week you can enjoy another novel from Charlotte Riddell who we last featured in February on the series. Riddell was born in  Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Ireland on 30 September 1832. Her family moved to London after her father died in 1855, and she married Joseph Hadley Riddell in 1857. Her first novel appeared in 1858 and she died in Kent in 1906. Riddell was the author of 56 books, novels, and short stories and was also editor and part owner of St James Magazine. Today  we feature The Nun’s Curse.
