This week we’re showcasing two (and a bit) chapters from R A MacAvoy’s The Book of Kells. Born in Ohio, MacAvoy’s book is a fantasy timetravel novel which uses the titular Book of Kells as inspiration.
We thought we’d let fans speak for the book this week, and have linked to a 2010 review by Jo Walton, who very much liked it, the Goodreads review section for the book. Some love it, some less so, but the reviews are interesting, and help build a picture of a book that is both unusual and complex. See what you think by reading the first two chapters here.
